Michael and
Joanne, owners of The Shoji Studio, were looking for a
Japanese themed, artistic and elegant, professional web
presence for the handcrafted, bespoke shoji screens they
design and produce. They wanted a one page site, to
begin with, that effectively serves as both a showcase and
'creative ideas' platform for their beautiful, custom-made
shoji screens. Their primary concerns were to present an
aesthetically pleasing business image that compliments their
work and emphasises traditional methods of craftsmanship.
The colour scheme
was selected not only to compliment the Japanese theme of the
site and to honour the client's request for a black background
in the design, but also to provide a bold, graphical feel to
the site to compliment the work that they do.
Michael and
Joanne are delighted with the site's design and the text Raven
created to help their clients 'visualise' attractive
applications for their screens. Raven will be maintaining
their website and web updates.
